NEORIS Hosts NEOfrontiers Day in Cities Around the World in Partnership with Junior Achievement During Global Entrepreneurship Week

MIAMI --(Business Wire)--

NEORIS, a global business and IT consulting company, announced it was once again joining forces with Junior Achievement (JA) to host the job shadowing and mentoring program NEOfrontiers Day in major cities around the world during Global Entrepreneurship Week. Part of NEORIS' Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, the "JA Job Shadow" Day seeks to expose students to careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) as they explore their own entrepreneurial ideas.

Launched in 2010, NEOfrontiers Day will take place on November 18 as NEORIS employees share their work day with high school students at its offices worldwide. The JA Job Shadow program this year will host a diverse group of high school students at NEORIS offices in Sao Paulo, Monterrey, Madrid and Miami.

Junior Achievement (JA) is the official host for the 7th Global Entrepreneurship Week in Mexico and Brazil. Founded in 2008, Global Entrepreneurship Week has experienced unprecedented growth and currently includes more than 25,000 events, activities and competitions that take place simultaneously in the span of one week. This year, GEW includes the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, launched by President Obama in 2009, to be held Nov. 20-21 in Marrakech. /p>

The U.S. News and World Report recently found that employers are looking to hire people with more advanced skills, especially in STEM fields, but job seekers are often struggling to figure out which skills they need and where they can learn them. Allowing high school students to shadow NEORIS employees during the JA Job Shadow program provides hands-on lessons in work-readiness and insights into the career opportunities available in the labor market.

Students participating in NEOfrontiers Day around the globe will connect via video conference to hear messages from members of the NEORIS senior management team in English, Spanish and Portuguese, including NEORIS CEO Claudio Muruzabal. Students will get insights into how a global enterprise embraces diversity by overcoming time zone, language and culture challenges in order to collaborate on projects around the world.

"As industry leaders we know that companies that do not innovate, become obsolete. It's no longer enough just to be at the top of the class," said Claudio Muruzabal, CEO of NEORIS. "This initiative allows us to walk the walk on a global scale and empower tomorrow's business leaders with a strategic focus and competitive advantage."

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is the world's largest celebration of its kind with an estimated 7.5 million people in 140 countries participating.
