NCKU International Business Programs Open for Admission until March 30
The allure of studying abroad is the chance to immerse oneself into the
local culture while interacting with a diverse student body. There are
also benefits like increasing employability, extending business network
and raising cultural awareness. Now, the master and PhD programs in the
Institute of International Management (IIMBA), National Cheng Kung
University (NCKU), provide the opportunity and open for admission until
March 30.
The program has attracted not only students from neighboring countries
such as Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia, but now also France, Italy,
Canada and the USA, according to IIMBA Director Jeng-Chung Chen.
He said, since achieving official accreditation in 2011, the IIMBA
program has continued to grow as a multifaceted, challenging,
progressive program rooted in the vision o Truth and Knowledge,
Integration and Innovation; Growth and Excellence.
For this spring 2015 Batch, 25% of the new students hail from Europe and
have enrolled in the two-year Masters program, he added.
"What drove them to choose NCKU, as the University to pursue their
Masters degree was different for each student, but each choice was
embedded in the school's national ranking and reputation as an excellent
university in Taiwan," according to Chen.
Antoine Aubisse, 22, hails from Rimoges, France, graduating with an
undergraduate degree in Business from E.M. Normandie Université. He said
he did some research before deciding on NCKU.
He looked at schools in China and other parts of Taiwan and chose the
IMBA program at NCKU due to its reputation in Taiwan. "When you say you
are at NCKU, people, especially Taiwanese people always say it's a
really good school," he said.
Aubisse hopes to stay in Taiwan or Asia and find work that will allow
him to travel, meet with clients and not be in an office all day.
Julien Cravedi from Vignot, France also chose the IMBA program because
of the reputation of the school. "The university ranking in Taiwan
really matters and I think the degree from NCKU will be very useful,
because I want to stay in Asia and find work."
Claudia Deponti, is the 2nd Italian student to attend the IMBA program
in its entire history. Deponti said that "NCKU made a good impression on
me during my research."
