Natural Convergence partners with CounterPath to launch USB based mobilityDec 05, 2008 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Canada's Natural Convergence, a supplier of hosted VoIP applications, has partnered with CounterPath, a provider of desktop and mobile VoIP softphone products and solutions, to enhance the functionality of silhouette, its flagship product, with the introduction of Bria Roam, a USB-based telephone for mobile workers. It is claimed that, offering Bria Roam feature expands the service provider's addressable market - recovering revenues formerly lost to mobile service providers. Jason Fischl, chief technology officer for CounterPath, said: "By integrating our technology with the Natural Convergence Bria Roam solution, service provider customers can now extend communication features previously only available to large enterprise customers to the small medium business market. "By simply plugging in the USB, mobile business users and remote workers are able to make phone calls on any desktop or laptop computer with internet access with the same security, functionality and high audio quality as they would enjoy in the office." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
