Movers & Shakers: New hires, honors, promotions, new businesses [Gazette, The (CO)](Gazette, The (CO) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) - Pikes Peak Community College announced that Rodney Williams and Yolanda Lewis-Harris have joined the college. Williams is the new multicultural affairs specialist. Lewis-Harris joins the college as a disabled student support services counselor after years of private practice working with teens, adults, couples and families. She will provide assistance and support for disabled veterans through individual counseling, conducting workshops and offering tools to establish coping mechanisms. - Ent Federal Credit Union announced the promotion of MJ Coon, Ent's chief financial officer, to executive vice president. Coon has been with the credit union for more than 13 years and in the financial services industry for more than 25 years. Coon has served on several boards and committees throughout her career, including the Credit Union National Association CFO Council, ALM First Financial Advisors, SunCorp Corporate Credit Union board of directors and SunCorp's Asset, Liability and Supervisory committees. - Dawn White has joined Keller Williams Partners as assistant team leader. White will be responsible for the procurement of new Realtors for the Keller Williams team and for team development as the education coordinator. A licensed Realtor since 1986, White holds a finance degree from Regis University. - Peak Vista Community Health Centers announced that Dr. Amelia Virostko will provide care at the Family Health Center at International Circle. Virostko received her bachelor's of science in biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge and her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. She completed her residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver. Among its services are Web design, print and Web ad buys, social media, QR codes, phone apps and email blasts. - Rich List, a residential loan officer, was recently recognized by Cherry Creek Mortgage as a top producer for the month in both dollar volume and number of loans closed in its most recent production cycle. - Jerry and Juice Jenson, owners of Fish Window Cleaning in Colorado Springs, received the Top Sales Award at the 11th annual Fish Window Cleaning Convention held in July in St. Louis. The Jensons were presented with their award for adding more than 500 new customers during 2010. Their business provides window cleaning services for commercial and residential customers in the greater Colorado Springs area. - After five years as marketing director at KOAA 5, Ethan Beute is leaving the station to join BombBomb.com as marketing director. Joany D'Agostino is Beute's replacement at KOAA. She is moving back to Colorado from New York, where she is a senior writer/producer for CNN. Before, she spent 10 years as promotions manager and senior producer at "Inside Edition," the nationally syndicated program. The transition will take place in late September. Glenda Lee has been hired as assistant vice president and manager of The Bank at Broadmoor's westside location. A Colorado native, she has more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry in the Colorado Springs market. - Art Ratkewicz, manager of cyber initiatives at the Space Foundation, has been promoted to the new position of senior director of operations. His new role includes a broad range of responsibilities, including customer service, logistics, facilities management and event management. He will also temporarily continue in his role as the Space Foundation's cyberspace expert. Ratkewicz's experience includes project management with Booz Allen Hamilton and a number of intelligence and information operations positions with the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Strategic Command, U.S. Forces Korea and Air Force Space Command. He also held a number of human resources, site management and manufacturing positions with Atmel and Texas Instruments. Kathleen Vinson has been promoted from director of human resources of the Space Foundation to vice president. Vinson joined the Space Foundation as manager of human resources in 2009. She was instrumental in the Space Foundation being designated by The NonProfit Times and Best Companies Group as among the Best Non-Profit Organizations to Work for 2011, the only Colorado organization to make the list. She was previously vice president of human resources for NTT America (formerly Verio Inc.) for 12 years. - Mulliken Weiner Berg & Jolivet P.C. announced that Michael W. Taylor has joined the firm as an associate. His practice will focus on real estate, business transactions, domestic taxation and estate planning. A graduate of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, Taylor received his law degree from the University of Denver. Before joining the firm, he served in various management positions with companies in the real estate and construction industries and as a manager with an international accounting firm. - The Colorado Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau has named Alicia McConnell, director of athlete services and programs for the U.S. Olympic Committee, as the CVB's new board chair. Her term is effective immediately. McConnell's main responsibility at the USOC is to cultivate partnerships with community organizations throughout the U.S. and to access additional resources, services and facilities for athletes and National Governing Bodies. WEEK OF AUGUST 14 - Colorado Association Services, an Associa company, announced that Alan Teets has been hired as community association manager at its Colorado Springs office. Teets has been a community management professional for more than six years. He previously worked for Kiemle & Hagood in Spokane, Wash., and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, managing a portfolio of nearly 1,000 homes, condos and home sites. - Tom Naughton, regional president of U.S. Bank; Roy Clennan, president and owner of Freedom Financial Services; and Deb Walker, of First United Methodist Church, all recently joined the board of directors of Catholic Charities of Central Colorado. - Lauren L. Betzler has been named vice president of contracts and legal for Aleut Management Services and its subsidiary companies. Betzler will serve as the company's primary representative for contractual and legal matters with customer, industry, and professional organizations. Previously, she managed Strategic and International Programs for BAE Systems' Heavy Brigade Combat Team. In addition to her primary position, she was appointed ethics officer for the U.S. Combat Systems Operating Group nationwide, as well as for the more than 2,000 employees at the York, Pa., facility. - Bill Roy has been named the chief operating officer and headquarters general manager for the El Paso County Republican Party. Roy, a retired Air Force fighter pilot, commander and NORAD staff officer, served as director of operations for USA Shooting and CEO of the American National Heritage Corp. - The North Colorado Springs Rotary Club named Claude Cowart its "Rotarian of the Year" for 2010-2011. Cowart, a longtime member of the club, served as a pilot in the Air Force and was the lead civil engineer in building the Air Force Academy. During the 1970s and '80s, he was the director of fiscal services and engineering at Colorado College. - Colorado Springs-based Ramtron International Corp. announced the appointment of Pete Zimmer as vice president of sales. Zimmer has 29 years of semiconductor sales management, engineering, marketing and quality assurance experience. Most recently, he was director of Worldwide Microcontroller Marketing & Vertical Markets at Texas Instruments. - Bryan Construction announced the appointment of Gen. Victor E. Renuart Jr. as a new advisory board member. Renuart retired from the Air Force in 2010 after 39 years of service.
