'Motorola provides 150.000 IPTV boxes for Portugal Telecom'May 15, 2009 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) -- Motorola has so far delivered 150.000 IPTV set-top boxes to Portugal Telecom for its IPTV service Meo. As part of a long term contract, Motorola has been supplying the VIP1200E and VIP1216E digital boxes that support both high definition (HD) and standard definition (SD). The VIP1216E also includes a hard disk for DVR functionality. At the end of 2008, Portugal Telecom reported 312.000 meo subscribers.
