MOTOROLA BUY TO TAKE LENOVO TO THIRD SPOT IN SMARTPHONE CLUB(Indian Business Insight Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Personal computer (PC) seller Lenovo of China is set to become the third largest smartphone vendor in India after completing the acquisition of Motorola Mobility by the end of 2014. The smartphone business of Lenovo has tripled year-on-year, much faster than the pace of growth in the market. Motorola is the fifth largest seller of smartphones in India. Lenovo hopes to start manufacturing handsets in India. |
