Mixed trend in metal prices

Prices of Nickel, tin, copper and zinc firmed up in a mixed non-ferrous metal market here today due to good industrial demand while lead and brass moved down owing to lack of demand from industrial users.

Nickel rose by Rs 15 per kilo to Rs 720 and tin by Rs 10 per kilo to Rs 860.
Copper cable scrap, copper armiture and copper wire bar firmed up by Rs 4 per kilo each to Rs 249, Rs 244 and Rs 277 respectively.

Copper scrap heavy also moved up by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 246, copper sheets cutting by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 241, copper utensils scrap by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 234 and zinc by a rupee per kilo to Rs 75.

However, brass utensils scrap, brass sheets cutting and lead ended lower by Rs 2 per kilo each to Rs 176, Rs 181 and Rs 85 respectively.
