Mixed trend in metal prices

Prices of brass, nickel, aluminium and copper sheets cutting declined in a mixed non-ferrous metal market here today in the absence of demand from industrial users.

However, copper and zinc firmed up on good industrial buying support.
Brass utensils scrap dropped by Rs 9 per kilo to Rs 166, brass sheets cutting by Rs 8 per kilo to Rs 172, nickel by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 700, aluminium utensils scrap by Rs 4 per kilo to Rs 90 and copper sheets cutting by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 231.



However, copper scrap heavy rose by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 237 from Rs 232 previously.
Copper cable scrap, copper utensils and copper wire bar moved up by Rs 4 per kilo each to Rs 240, Rs 224 and Rs 268 respectively.

Copper armiture also ended higher by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 234 and zinc by a rupee per kilo to Rs 74.
