Mind Over Machines lands $15M federal contract [New Vision (Uganda)]

(New Vision (Uganda) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Owings Mills software and data consultancy Mind Over Machines Inc. won a five-year, $15 million prime contract from the federal government's primary biomedical research arm.

Mind Over Machines announced the contract Wednesday with the National Institutes of Health's Center for Information Technology. The agency will have the firm handling application maintenance, information systems development and production support. Mind Over Machines will be dealing with systems used by tens of thousands of administrative and scientific personnel.

This isn't the first time Mind Over Machines has crossed paths with the National Institutes of Health. It's won MERIT Awards from the agency. It's also received recognition from the National Institutes of Health for modernizing its time and attendance system — a system that feeds payroll for almost 76,000 Health and Human Services employees.

Mind Over Machines is thrilled to support the systems that enable NIH to conduct its vitally important clinical and biomedical research, and to continue our decade-long relationship with the organization, said Tom Loveland, the firm's CEO, in a statement. Mind Over Machines also has a location in Bethesda. It's grown in recent years, acquiring IT consultancy Seva Group in 2012.
