Procuri Selected by Miller for Better Beer

Procuri Inc., a provider of on-demand enterprise management solutions, today announced that the Miller Brewing Company has selected its Procuri TotalSource solution to ensure that the brewer is purchasing quality ingredients, services and goods from trusted partners.

Miller Brewing, one of the largest brewers in the world and the oldest major brewer in the United States, will use TotalSource to automate its sourcing processes, to consolidate purchases across six major U.S. breweries and to generate greater savings.

“Procuri’s on-demand enterprise supplier management solutions allow our global customers to address the complete end-to-end supplier management process in a quick and efficient manner,” Mark F. Morel, Procuri president and CEO, said in a company statement.

Milwaukee-based Miller Brewing, a wholly owned subsidiary of SABMiller plc, chose the strategic sourcing solution for the robust functionality, ease of use, support services and quick deployment Procuri provides.

The brewer is currently administering new processes to ensure that best-practice sourcing strategies are used throughout the organization.

With an already-large selection of beverages, including Miller Lite, purportedly America’s fastest-growing beer in 2004 (and a favorite among professional tailgaters and college keggers), Procuri’s solutions can save Miller significant time and resources so that the brewer can “focus more attention to continue developing the best product line,” according to the company announcement.

“Our solutions will aid Miller in controlling costs, managing performance and improving the effectiveness of their processes,” continued Morel.
