Microsoft accuses Europe's officials of 'serious errors'


(Wall Street US Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)Microsoft Corp yesterday argued before a Luxembourg court that European officials made "serious errors" when they penalized the software giant a record 497m ($613.7m) in March 2004 and directed the company to change its market strategy. The US company said that the 2004 decision could hamper innovation; European regulators have argued that Microsoft has taken advantage of its market dominance by bundling its Media Player with the Windows operating system to block rival products.
