Meeting JASMIN Interactive Fine Art Exhibition Makes Much Anticipated Art Basel Debut

MIAMI, Oct. 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Representing an interactive fine art experience, the Meeting JASMIN exhibition portrays the mind, body and soul journey an individual takes when discovering a new lover or muse. Renowned digital artists Raphael Vicenzi, Alberto Seveso and Hugo Valentine created thirty-three original artworks inspired by JASMIN models, each using their own signature styles to articulate and capture the spirit of their female subjects.

One of the featured artworks by artist Alberto Seveso which activates an art film when scanned with the Meeting JASMIN mobile app.

Its inaugural exhibition took place in Los Angeles in July with a celeb-studded VIP reception including AnnaLynne McCord, Andy Dick, Cheryl Burke, Susie Abromeit and Brittany Gastineau in attendance. Last week, it followed up with a dynamic event featuring the launch of its corresponding Meeting JASMIN mobile application at a one-night pop up event taking place at Fort Mason's iconic Gallery 308 in San Francisco and sponsored by San Francisco Magazine.

Created in partnership with Live Portrait LLC, the Meeting JASMIN mobile app uses augmented reality to 'bring to life' the JASMIN models in unique art films launched directly from the static artwork.  The viewer is immediately immersed in an interactive experience that blends fine art with today's latest, most advanced technology and allows a seamless opportunity for people to connect with the artwork. This type of interactive artwork is the first-of-its kind for the fine art world.

Now, the Meeting JASMIN exhibition will make its much anticipated Art Basel debut Nov. 30thDec. 3rd with a booth at the X Contemporary art fair at NOBU Miami Beach. Several artworks featuring never-before-seen content activated by the Meeting JASMIN mobile app will be on display for fair attendees to view. In addition, Meeting JASMIN will host a series of exciting brand events to showcase its unique art offerings and mobile app capabilities during Art Basel week.

About the Artists

RAPHAEL VICENZI
Raphael Vicenzi, whose artist stylus is Mydeadpony, is a self-taught artist excelling at experimental portraiture and striking mixed media collage works. Born in Belgium and residing in Brussels, Vicenzi is inspired by fashion, street art and graffiti. His portraits aim to capture the presence, character and feeling behind each female subject with immensely detailed images that are both meticulous and ethereal.

ALBERTO SEVESO
Alberto Seveso is globally recognized for his experimental works influenced by his passion for skate deck graphics and 90's metal album covers. Originally from Sardinia, Italy, now living and working out of Bristol, UK, he has been commissioned twice by Adobe for special projects. Seveso's most recent signature style is inspired by classical painters and aims to mimic brush strokes similar to a painting, that appear both analogic and handmade.

HUGO VALENTINE
Hugo Valentine is a British abstract artist who explores women, love, beauty, imperfection and intimacy in his complex works. Trained as a portrait artist, his work attempts to put the viewer into the presence of the subject even though the paintings are often heavily abstracted with pop art characteristics. Refusing to be restricted to the realm of acrylics and oils, Valentine embraces the pixel.

About JASMIN

Created in 2001, JASMIN was the first-ever platform to allow live, real-time video communication between users via webcam, revolutionizing the experience of personal connections in a digital world. As a result, the site became popular as a way for beautiful models to connect with their fans. Today, JASMIN services more than 35 million visitors, daily, and Alexa has listed it as one of the 100 most popular websites of the last decade on a worldwide scale. JASMIN has become a significant keystone in a society where meeting and pursuing a new friend, lover, or soul mate within the digital world is considered the norm.

About Live Portrait, LLC

Live Portrait is as technology service that blends Augmented Reality (AR) with Image Recognition to create images that literally come to life through smart devices. Specifically, our mobile app enables photographers, publishers, and content creators to use their traditional printed images as a key to 'unlock' a video to create a more engaging experience. The magic happens when our software analyzes the printed image by creating a mathematical model based on shapes, lines, proportions, colors and other elements. It then matches the model against images already in Live Portrait's database. When a match is found what you see is what looks like a 3D, mapped digital video playing on top of a print…living in the physical world.

Meeting JASMIN is an interactive fine art exhibition enhanced with the addition of augmented reality to bring select artworks "to life" with unique, curated content.

The Meeting JASMIN mobile app, powered by Live Portrait, utilizes augmented reality to "bring to life" unique, curated art films directly from the static artwork creating an immersive experience for the viewer.
