Masstech Group Inc. Selects Harmonic's Rhozet Carbon Coder

Harmonic announced that its Rhozet Carbon Coder video transcoding
solution has been selected by Masstech Group Inc., a provider of
solutions for media life cycle management, for its MassStore WAM Suite
of workflow-based asset management products.
According to company officials, Rhozet Carbon Coder provides a
transcoding option for Masstech users who have high volume or custom
transcoding requirements.

the key reasons we've selected Rhozet Carbon Coder," said Sudy Shen,
President and CEO of Masstech Group. "Rhozet transcoding technology
meets the requirements of our broadcast customers who need support for
the widest range of formats."

Harmonic said the MassStore WAM Suite of products provides an unified
enterprise-class platform for live and file-based ingest, stream
transformation, production and news integration, business continuity,
content delivery/distribution, and portal connectivity. The MassStore
WAM Suite of products are powered by Masstech's core Distributed
Redundant Adaptive Cluster (DRAC) architecture and the Workflow
Management Engine, allowing for configurable and automated processes
with federated access for global multi-site operations.
Harmonic's Rhozet Carbon Coder is a universal transcoding application
that facilitates the transfer of media between a variety of platforms,
including acquisition, editing, playout, archive, the Internet and
mobile devices.
Harmonic is a provider of video solutions that enable service providers
to deliver new broadcast and on-demand services including high
definition, video-on-demand, network personal video recording and
time-shifted TV.
