Mashburn Construction Opts for Textura-CPM and GradeBeam Software Solutions [Health & Beauty Close - Up]

(Health & Beauty Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Mashburn Construction, a construction company providing construction management, design/build and general contracting, said that it has been able to scale their business with the help of Textura-CPM and GradeBeam, two software solutions which are part of the suite of collaboration solutions offered by Textura Corp.

In a release, Mashburn said that Textura-CPM allows the Company and other General Contractors to automate invoicing, lien waiver collection, electronic payments, document compliance and reporting. Using the workflow, Mashburn Construction can eliminate wasteful, paper-laden processes with a more streamlined approach, allowing the growing company to focus more on providing service and quality to their clients in the healthcare, historical renovation, hospitality, industrial, institutional and church construction sectors.

"Before we started using Textura-CPM, we were performing most of the payment process manually," said Robert Parsons, CFO, Mashburn Construction. "It was very time and resource-consuming, and we recognized that in order to achieve our full potential, we needed to standardize the billing process across the organization, reduce clerical errors from the pay application process and allow our subcontractors more visibility into their compliance and payment status." The company noted that GradeBeam is a cloud-based solution that simplifies and expedites the massive information exchange that occurs in the pre-construction phases of projects, including Invitations-To-Bid, drawings/specifications distribution, corrections, RFIs and addenda. With GradeBeam, Mashburn has increased transparency, consistency and accountability, resulting in fewer delays and lower project costs. Mashburn Construction started using CPM and GradeBeam in 2007.

Additionally, Mashburn has completed such notable projects as the Boeing Site Services Building, Medieval Times Dinner Theater and the College of Charleston - Randolph Hall, Porter's Lodge and Towell Library historical renovation.

"Mashburn Construction exemplifies how our collaboration solutions can be used together to create a platform for success," said Patrick Allin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Textura Corp. "Mashburn's growth over the last few years has been impressive, especially considering the current economic conditions. We look forward to seeing what new levels of success they will achieve." Textura is a provider of collaboration and productivity tools for the construction industry.
