Market Maker Surveillance Report. S, INTC, YHOO, WFR, NVTL, FTR, Highest Net Buy Volume With Lowest Price Friction For Tuesday, November 27th 2012

Nov 28, 2012 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 4166 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2526 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2967 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Tuesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Sprint Nextel Corp (NYSE:S), INTEL CORPORATION (NASDAQ:INTC), Yahoo! Inc (NASDAQ:YHOO), MEMC Electronic Materials Inc (NYSE:WFR), Novatel Wireless Inc (NASDAQ:NVTL), Firesteel Resources Inc (NASDAQ:FTR). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below: Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction S $0.010 0.18% 13,222,415 40.58% 8,559,600 26.27% 4,662,815 4,662,815 INTC $0.070 0.38% 23,189,156 52.19% 20,221,717 45.51% 2,967,439 423,920 YHOO $0.180 0.93% 15,118,676 51.80% 13,612,561 46.64% 1,506,115 83,673 WFR $0.130 5.13% 4,589,827 37.69% 3,636,098 29.86% 953,729 73,364 NVTL $0.090 7.44% 3,332,274 84.49% 604,645 15.33% 2,727,629 303,070 FTR $0.060 1.22% 3,990,708 57.11% 2,942,628 42.11% 1,048,080 174,680 Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows S with a Net Buy Volume of 4,662,815 shares and a Friction Factor of 4,662,815 shares. That means that it takes 4,662,815 more shares of buying than selling to move S higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Tuesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
