Luan Coal Mine Group Signed Contract with West Hawk(SinoCast China Business Daily News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) CHANGZHI, September 20, SinoCast -- Shanxi Lu'an Coal Mine Group Co., Ltd., a domestic production base of raw material coal for chemical industry, inked an USD 1.3 billion contract with a Canadian company West Hawk Development Corporation. The Chinese company planed the strategic projects of coal chemicals and natural gas in cooperation with the world-known coal chemical industry company, in order to rapidly boost the core competitiveness of its new energy sources and coal chemical businesses via making use of West Hawk's advanced coal conversion technology. Headquartered in the northern Chinese city of Changzhi, Lu'an Coal Mine Group expected to achieve business transformation in recent years. Presently, the company is committing itself to transforming coal to electricity, coke, and fuel oil, said people close to the situation. Besides, Luan Coal Mine Group also signed another four contracts with UK Climate Change Capital Group, Centrotherm Photovoltaice AG, SET SRL, and a Chinese company, respectively.
