LSI Seeks Cooperation with ZTE and Hauwe
SHENZHEN, Jan 13, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) --
After visiting Chinese telecom equipment makers Huawei Technologies and ZTE, Talwalkar, president and chief executive officer of LSI, looks very exited. He says it is very interesting.
The president says that they have high hopes for Chinese companies like ZTE and Huawei. They are likely to adopt more LSI's storage and networking technologies as their sales overseas are increasing rapidly. And LSI will deepen the cooperation with the two Chinese partners.
As the biggest hard disk storage and network solution provider in the world, LSI recorded as much as USD2.7 billion in sales in 2008.
Talwalkar discloses that LSI will make cooperation with ZTE and Huawei in storage systems and standard chips used in networking and storage.
Though LSI has been affected by the worsening global financial crisis, it has emerged from the economic slowdown relatively unscathed via a string of acquisitions and downsizing.
