'Little Buddha' missing in Nepal

(UPI Quirks in the News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)Police in Nepal say a boy who has been meditating in a forest for 10 months is now missing.

Sixteen-year-old Ram Bomjan, also called Little Buddha, was officially recognized as missing Saturday morning and police are searching the Bara district where he was last scene, the BBC reports.

Hundreds of people used to visit Bomjan each day and his followers say he may have moved deeper into the forest to avoid distraction.

Police said they have no evidence he was kidnapped.

Bomjan's followers said he has gone for 10 months without food or water.

The say he is the incarnation of Lord Buddha, born in Nepal 2,500 years ago.
