Leading Danish communications company TDC extends analytics, business intelligence investment with SAS

CARY, NC (Dec. 4, 2014) – TDC and SAS expanded collaboration with a new strategic three-year contract. For more than 29 years, TDC and SAS have worked together. The collaboration was further strengthened when the leading Danish provider of communications solutions tapped business analytics leader SAS as the strategic supplier for its analytics and business intelligence (BI) platform.

“We were searching for a BI and analytics front end for all of TDC, and we found SAS Visual Analytics to be the best in the market,” said Charlotte Hersdorf, CIO at TDC. “We are happy with our current SAS solutions, so it made sense for us to grow both our SAS portfolio and the relationship in general. SAS is now a strategic supplier, which means that we will be working closer together in other areas as well. SAS’ local presence and support in all the countries where TDC operates was also a deciding factor.” SAS® Visual Analytics will enable TDC’s employees to conduct sophisticated analytics through an easy-to-use, point-and-click interface. They can ask complex questions, create visualizations and share results with other employees. TDC will be able to speed up model development by identifying areas that warrant further exploration and analysis.

“It is important that TDC, as one of Denmark’s largest companies, has chosen to invest in a new analytics and BI platform,” said Keld Zornig, Country Manager and CEO of SAS Denmark. “This newest agreement strengthens TDC`s ability to exploit dramatically increasing information for competitive advantages. SAS Visual Analytics delivers more insights and solutions to create greater value for TDC and its customers.” To learn more about the vital role data visualization plays in fostering organizations' analytics culture and driving decisions with data, download the complimentary TDWI Best Practices Report (http://www.sas.com/apps/sim/redirect.jsp?detail=SIM134081_7729).
