Layer 7 Named a 'Cool Vendor' by Gartner(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Layer 7 Technologies, a provider of security and governance solutions for Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web 2.0, announced it has been selected as a Cool Vendor in Gartner s Cool Vendors in SOA Governance report. Layer 7 provides flexible and simple-to-use gateways for defining, managing and scalably enforcing policy-based governance policies in SOA. Gartner defines a cool vendor as a company that offers technologies or solutions that are: Innovative, enable users to do things they couldn't do before; Impactful, have, or will have, business impact (not just technology for the sake of technology); Intriguing, have caught Gartner's interest or curiosity in approximately the past six months. Organizations realize that employing simple, scalable and flexible performance management, security and governance solutions is critical to the health of their business, said Dimitri Sirota, Vice President of Marketing and Alliances, Layer 7 Technologies. Layer 7 is pleased to have been evaluated by Gartner, which we believe is recognition for its unique family of SOA gateways that provide customers with a broad range of operational SOA management requirements and an extensible, scalable and standards-based approach to better address policy lifecycle from creation to enforcement.
