Latens, a provider of IPTV security software, and Polish systems integrator Satlan are teaming up to provide cable and IPTV security for operators in Eastern Europe. Latens has agreed to integrate its Content & Revenue Protection Systems software into Satlan's cable and IPTV projects in the region.

Latens, based in Belfast, claims to be one of the only software-based providers of conditional access solutions that can simultaneously protect IPTV and cable systems. Satlan officials said that many of its customers in Eastern Europe are gradually migrating to IPTV and will have a hybrid IPTV-cable system for the near future. This makes Latens solutions attractive to Satlan and its customers, which can have a single security solution for their IPTV and legacy cable systems.

Satlan offers turn-key solutions for broadband, CATV and IPTV markets across Eastern Europe.
