TOKYO - Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and Defense Agency Director General Fukushiro Nukaga agreed Tuesday to possibly make minor changes to a plan to relocate a U.S. air station within Okinawa in response to local demands, Nukaga said.
Although Tokyo will continue negotiating with local authorities based on the plan it agreed to with Washington last October, Koizumi and Nukaga concurred on the possibility of minor changes if such changes would help enable the plan to be realized, the agency chief said.

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan conducted a successful test-firing Tuesday of the nuclear-capable Babur cruise missile (Hatf-V11) with a range of 500 kilometers, witnessed by President Gen. Pervez Musharraf, the Defense Ministry said.
The ministry said in a news release that the missile test Tuesday was conducted from a ground site, adding the missile was capable of being placed in submarines or surface ships.
---------- 2 women found dead as police rescue 7 climbers in Niigata
NIIGATA, Japan - Two women were confirmed dead at a hospital Tuesday after they and seven other climbers got lost on a mountain in Niigata Prefecture, police said.
Miyoko Abe, 62, and Tamie Yasumuro, 54, were found frozen to death, while police helicopters safely rescued the five men and two women from 2,026-meter Mt. Sennokura in the Tanigawa range. The group, aged between 54 and 63, is from Kanagawa Prefecture.
---------- Nissan to sell 13% Nissan Diesel stake to Volvo
TOKYO - Nissan Motor Co. said Tuesday it will reduce its equity stake in Nissan Diesel Motor Co. to 6 percent by selling a 13 percent interest to Swedish truck maker AB Volvo.
Volvo may also acquire Nissan's remaining 6 percent stake within the next four years, the Japanese automaker said.
