Keynote Announces Cloud Transaction Perspective - Easily Deployable SaaS Product Measures the Performance of Employee and Partner-Facing Apps on Secure Extranets and Intranets

SAN MATEO, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

Keynote® (NASDAQ: KEYN), the global leader in Internet and mobile cloud testing & monitoring, today announced the immediate availability of Keynote Cloud Transaction Perspective®.

Keynote's new on-demand site monitoring service offers enterprise companies, for the very first time, the ability to leverage all the power, ease-of-use and versatility of Transaction Perspective -- the industry's leading SaaS (News - Alert)-based end user experience monitoring service -- in the cloud.

Cloud Transaction Perspective is the ideal solution for measuring the end user experience of apps and websites accessible only through secure extranets and VPN-based Intranets and used by employees located in branch offices of large enterprise companies and by business partners. Keynote's SaaS offering is easily, quickly and cost-effectively deployable and portable anywhere in the cloud, unlike the majority of current enterprise software-only based solutions that are cumbersome, time-consuming and expensive to implement, especially for private clouds that span organizational boundaries.

Cloud Transaction Perspective offers portable up-to-the-minute end user experience monitoring to identify and fix employee, partner and branch office website and application performance problems fast. It is based on the same real IE and Firefox browser-based measurement technology as Keynote's flagship Transaction Perspective Web performance monitoring service, and now captures end user experience data via an on-demand software private agent, easily installable anywhere in a private cloud.

Cloud Transaction Perspective is a private software agent that runs real Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers to measure and monitor the end user performance of employee and partner facing apps and websites in a private cloud. All the monitoring data is processed and available in real-time via Keynote's SaaS monitoring platform and Web portal, MyKeynote, with its on-demand dashboards, graphs and alarming which provide analysis and instant visibility into performance issues. Keynote now combines flexible monitoring portability with the power and convenience of its SaaS monitoring platform in one integrated solution for employee and partner-facing apps and websites located in private cloud environments, such as secure extranets and intranets.

"Keynote is significantly expanding its value to a broader range of customers through Cloud Transaction Perspective," said Dennis Drogseth (News - Alert), vice president, application and business services at EMA. "This versatile new capability can be applied to a wide variety of use cases, including support for instances where application services are consumed by employees or customers on-campus or in localized environments - from retail outlets, to office buildings, to airports. And Keynote is doing this with its native strengths in minimized administrative overhead and all but instant deployment."

"The concept of a user-defined transaction is essential to application performance monitoring," said Will Cappelli, research vice president at Gartner. "This is particularly true in cloud-reliant environments where the transaction acts as the thread holding together multiple services from the perspective of the end user."

"We are committed to extending our world class Web performance monitoring capabilities to the many usage scenarios our customers are dealing with, whether across multiple devices, locations and internal as well as external-facing applications," comments Vik Chaudhary, vice president of product management and corporate development at Keynote. "Most businesses interact with their customers in a variety of ways and the user experience of each of these is important. Cloud Transaction Perspective enables our clients to measure the impact of employee and partner-facing Web applications on user experience in the same way we monitor their public facing websites today."

Highlights include:

* On-demand software agent that is easy to install in any private cloud environment

* Up-to-the-minute access and reporting, including smart alerts and diagnostic tools

* Easy, powerful extensible scripting using KITE, the Keynote Internet Testing Environment app

Pricing and Availability

Cloud Transaction Perspective is available now for a monthly subscription, starting as low as $100 USD per month, based upon the number of agents active and measurements captured.
