KEEF'S OUT OF HIS TREE!

(Wales on Sunday Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)Wrinkly rocker Keith Richards is recovering from the effects of being out of his tree.

The Rolling Stones guitarist had to be taken to hospital suffering with mild concussion after apparently tumbling out of a palm tree at an exclusive resort in Fiji.

A spokesman for the 62-year-old - who once admitted treating his body as a 'human chemical laboratory' - said he was taken for treatment this week in New Zealand with his wife Patti as a precaution.

The Wakaya Club confirmed that Richards had been holidaying there but refused to comment on the circumstances of his accident.

The Stones are currently on their A Bigger Bang world tour and played a concert in Wellington, New Zealand, on April 18.

The next scheduled date is at the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona, followed by 34 more dates across Europe.

It is not the first time Richards has sustained injuries.

In 1998 the band had to delay a tour after he fell off a ladder while trying to retrieve a book in the library of his Connecticut mansion. He damaged his ribs and chest but 'had not been drinking', according to his agent.
