Just Landed: NYCLINIC & La Compagnie Airline Team up for Free On-Site Venous Disease Screenings for Passengers, Pre-Flight

In recognition of February's American Heart Month, NYCLINIC, which provides executive check-ups and corporate health programs to organizations worldwide, announces the launch of its first-ever, free screening program for cardiovascular disease for airline passengers, in partnership with the boutique airline La Compagnie.

Co-founded by cardiovascular surgeons Dr. David Greuner, MD and Dr. David Luu, MD, NYCLINIC's new program focuses on preventing and raising awareness for Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). Making free health screenings available to La Compagnie airline passengers before their flights to Paris, the program will run the remainder of February through the end of March, 2015. The 10-minute screening process includes painless, non-invasive imaging of both deep and superficial veins, utilizing cutting-edge ultrasound technology. These screenings will be open to males and females of all ages, especially those in high-risk categories for DVT, such as frequent flyers and women who are pregnant or who take oral contraceptives.

In addition to the screenings, NYCLINIC will also educate those being screened on the symptoms of DVT and offer tips for prevention for frequent flyers and business professionals.

"Venous disease is a silent and often under-diagnosed problem tha can affect otherwise healthy young people. We want to bring it to their attention that you can screen noninvasively, without downtime," said Dr. Greuner.
