Journos missed in network probe

Feb 14, 2012 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- A Federal Government tender to operate the Australia Network TV broadcasting service in 2011 was abandoned and incumbent ABC reaffirmed over rival bidder Sky News Australia. The official reason was that leaks had compromised the process, but it has now emerged that the investigation of the improper disclosure has not looked at any media staff nor ministers and their assistants. The Australian Federal Police says civil servants from the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade, Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet and Australian National Audit Office were the only witnesses interviewed.
