InterSystems Positioned as a Visionary in Leading Analyst Firm's Magic Quadrant for Global Enterprise EHR Systems

(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 04 December 2012 Release date- 03122012 - SYDNEY, Australia- InterSystems Corporation, a global leader in software for connected care, announced today it has been positioned as a Visionary in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Global Enterprise EHR Systems1.

The InterSystems TrakCare unified healthcare information system was reviewed by Gartner for this report.

'Although there is a large number of local electronic health record system (EHRS) vendors, there is definitely a global market for enterprise EHRSs as well,' according to Gartner. 'Despite clear differences in ownership, payment schemes, and regulatory requirements, the practice of clinical medicine is more similar than different across the globe. There are good reasons to consider a global vendor in addition to considering local ones (increased resources and leveraging of experience, to name two). Given the rapid rate of clinical evolution, clinicians will ultimately require advanced clinical systems.' Vendors were evaluated based on their completeness of vision and ability to execute electronic health record systems in the global market, according to the report.

'TrakCare's full range of clinical, administrative, laboratory, and community care capabilities allow leading healthcare organizations around the world to deliver the benefits of an electronic patient record to any care setting, and on any device that can access the Internet. As a result, patient information can be shared securely and seamlessly to support improved care delivery, increased efficiency and lower costs,' said Paul Grabscheid, InterSystems Vice President of Strategic Planning. 'We are honored that Gartner has recognized InterSystems in this latest Magic Quadrant report.' Read Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Global Enterprise EHR Systems report.
