YANGON, Jan 14, 2011 (Xinhua via COMTEX) -- Demand of international-brand laptop has risen over a couple of years in Myanmar due to the development of information and communication technology (ICT) and improvement of people's socio-economic life through ICT in the country, an exhibitor of Lenovo company told Xinhua Friday at a special sales exhibition on laptops launched at the Tatmadaw Hall in Yangon.

Other computer accessories of renowned brands such as Lenovo, Acer and Dell are also on display at the exhibition which is aimed at introducing new products of IT companies.

Laptops are kept in touch with younger generations than personal computers (PC) in recent years, the exhibitor said, adding that laptop demand is still to be met.

Attached with IT zone, the four-day exhibition will run until next Monday.

Over 80 pavilions of the special IT zone at the exhibition feature new IT products manufactured with high technology.
