Interactive Intelligence Climbs Higher on Software 500 List(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Interactive Intelligence, a provider of unified IP business communications solutions, moved up 13 places this year to rank 196th among the 500 largest software and services suppliers. "With increased competition - a full 95 new companies entered our survey this year - Interactive Intelligence should be especially proud of its continued climb up our Software 500 list," said John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com. Interactive Intelligence increased its ranking in Software Magazine's 2008 Software 500 by posting 2007 revenues of $109.9 million, up 32 percent from revenues in 2006. "Our position in this prestigious benchmark list has climbed 71 places over the last three years," said Interactive Intelligence founder and CEO, Dr. Donald E. Brown. "Having increased our ranking year-over-year from 267th place in 2005, to our current position of 196th, demonstrates our ability to provide consistent growth and value for shareholders, while giving customers the peace of mind that comes with a vendor committed to long-term viability." The Interactive Intelligence all-in-one IP communications software suite, first released in 1997, was designed to eliminate complexity introduced by multi-point products. The company said that its software is for contact centers and enterprises seeking to increase productivity and improve customer service through more effective interaction management. "Especially during these tight economic times, we believe our software, with its ability to help organizations increase their operational efficiencies while improving customer service, offers an even more compelling business case that will enable us to thrive in coming years," Brown said. The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world's largest software and services suppliers targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers and business managers involved in software and services purchasing.
