Intelius Launches iSearch.com for People Search

(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
Intelius, a people search, background check and identity theft
protection provider, launched iSearch.com at DEMOfall 08.

With applications for everything from personal security to finding a
long-lost school friend, iSearch.com allows users to search for people
using information from a past or present context.

"Intelius' iSearch.com is the next generation of people search and is
destined to change the way we search for information about people
online," said Chris Shipley, executive producer of the DEMOfall 08
conference. "DEMO exists to provide innovative companies like Intelius
with a worldwide platform to launch the most groundbreaking products;
iSearch.com is sure to generate a lot of attention and has the
potential to make 'Googling' someone a thing of the past."

iSearch.com uses proprietary semantic technology to link billions of
online and offline records from public databases, professional
databases and social networking profiles to instantly categorize and
connect data creating comprehensive profiles of individuals. Public
databases contain information such as current and previous phone
numbers and addresses, age, relatives, and neighbors. Professional
databases include information about employment and education history,
email addresses, domain registrations, and colleagues and classmates.
Social networking profiles provide information such as screen names,
interests, activities and friends.

The company noted that someone searching for a childhood friend can
turn to iSearch.com using name and a long ago known location. An

individual seeking an old colleague can start with the name and last
known place of employment. In either and all cases, iSearch.com links
past information to provide, among other data, current contact
information and professional history.

"iSearch answers the age-old question of 'whatever happened to ... ?',"
said Naveen Jain, founder and chief executive officer of Intelius. "We
live in a society that's continually on the move. The frequency in
which we change addresses is greater, the amount of time we spend at a
job is shorter, therefore our contact information is constantly
changing and people are left with nothing but dated information about
us. iSearch transforms this process by allowing people to link old and
new information with online and offline data to instantly provide the
most relevant results."
