Integrien Expands Powerful Algorithm Engines as the Foundation of Alive(TM)
LAS VEGAS --(Business Wire)-- Integrien Corporation, the leader in intelligent systems management, today announced at the Gartner Data Center Conference in Las Vegas a new set of algorithms that will drive future versions of its flagship solution offering, Alive(TM). Integrien has incorporated additional innovations to current technology in Alive, as well as introduced new algorithms that will provide enhanced automation and efficiency to IT environments.
"As the complexity of IT environments and systems continues to increase, organizations are in search of solutions that go well beyond the standard of improving systems management efforts," said Dr. Mazda Marvasti, CTO of Integrien. "Integrien's algorithms provide organizations with the tools needed for improved predictable operation and problem prevention efforts by greatly reducing the amount of data that IT must manually correlate. As a result, organizations are able to decrease time spent on alert firefighting and allocate more time to automate IT management activities that drive forward strategic business processes."
Integrien has enhanced the algorithms that power Alive's Dynamic Thresholding and Problem Fingerprint capabilities. Currently used to eliminate the manual processes associated with setting static thresholds, Integrien has improved its Dynamic Thresholding algorithm to include both clustering and change detection mechanisms. These new features will allow users to determine the appropriate upper and lower boundaries of a metric, as well as identify and adapt to an abnormality in affected systems, which greatly decreases the time allocated to detecting and preventing problems.
In addition, Alive's patent-pending Problem Fingerprinting functionality not only alerts users to potential problems, but can now make recommendations in terms of which device is ultimately the root-cause of an outage or slowdown. Likewise, Integrien implemented new visualization and forensics tools into the Problem Fingerprints, which allow for quicker problem detection and resolution efforts by using stored patterns to diagnose problems. As a result, IT staffs are more readily able to remediate the outage or slowdown before users are affected.
Integrien also developed three new algorithms to further enhance Alive's advanced predictable operation and problem prevention capabilities. As one of Integrien's recently announced patent-pending technologies, Alive's Anomaly Detection algorithm is able to determine out-of-normal behavior while simultaneously resolving issues with non-stationarity and data churn of network type data. This technology allows for better data analysis to predict irregular events while optimizing for reduced false-positive and false-negative alerts.
In addition, Integrien's newly established, highly-scalable Data and Alarm Correlators significantly reduce problem alerts and provide added insight into the relationships that occur between various devices and conditions upon which business systems rely. Integrien's Data Correlator allows users to detect connections between all pairs of metrics in a system. Whenever anomalous behavior in a metric is observed, the Data Correlator determines if it's associated with other metrics and instead of sending numerous alerts for those metrics, the new technology will correlate all those alerts together. Integrien's Alarm Correlator links together all alarms so that when an alert is detected in a system, users are able to determine if problems are a result of other alarms that have previously occurred.
These new and enhanced algorithms will be available in forthcoming versions of Integrien Alive later this year.
