[January 17, 2007] Ingate Launches New Software Version 4.5.1 Tweet Increased User Functionality, Added Flexibility Helps Customers Leverage New IP Trends STOCKHOLM – January 17, 2007 – Ingate® Systems (www.ingate.com), which develops firewall technology and products that enable SIP-based live communication for the enterprise while maintaining control and security at the network edge, launches new software version 4.5.1 for all Ingate Firewall® and award-winning Ingate SIParator® products. The new software maximizes the benefits of SIP communications with new features that increase bandwidth, improve overall user functionality and offer a new level of flexibility to help customers stay one step ahead of new IP trends. “The VoIP market is evolving rapidly, with a diverse range of new applications that require flexibility in the ways customers use our products. This improves availability for customers using multiple ISPs. Setting the priority enables the enterprise to always be connected to, for example, their SIP trunking service provider even if the connection to the primary ISP fails. A Command Line Interface (CLI) is now available to the administrator. With the CLI, administrators can inspect, alter and apply new configurations. In order to describe the configuration, a configuration language is provided. Command files can also be uploaded via the Web-based graphical user interface (GUI). The new software supports media release, which means it is no longer necessary for SIP clients sitting behind the same far-end NAT device to send media via the Ingate Firewall or SIParator. This saves bandwidth within the Ingate hardware, for the far-end NAT device and on the Internet. Several additional new functionalities and improvements are also included in software version 4.5.1.
