Infonetics Research Adds Analysts(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Infonetics Research, a communications market research firm, announced the addition of Dan Geiger and Diane Myers to its analyst team. Dan Geiger is Infonetics' new Directing Analyst, Next Gen OSS and Policy and is based in Campbell, California at Infonetics' headquarters. Diane Myers will serve as Infonetics' new Directing Analyst, Service Provider VoIP and IMS and will be based in Ohio. Jeff Heynen, Directing Analyst for Broadband and Video, is facilitating Dan Geiger's transition into the next gen OSS and policy analyst role, and will focus on broadband (aggregation hardware, CPE, cable, PON, FTTH) and the video arena, including IPTV, satellite, cable, switched digital video (SDV), and mobile broadcast equipment and services. Stephane Teral, Principal Analyst for Mobile and FMC Infrastructure, and Diane Myers will work together on VoIP and IMS as Diane transitions into the directing analyst role. With 20 years of business, market, and product development experience developing communications and software products for service providers and enterprises, Dan Geiger joined Infonetics Research in November. Prior to Infonetics, he was Director of Telecom Marketing for Kabira Technologies, where he managed their Service Delivery and OSS product portfolios, bringing real-time charging, subscriber management, and network application integration solutions to market. Previously, Geiger was Group Manager for Routing and Switching Marketing at Cisco, Telecom Industry Solutions Director at BEA, and Product Marketing Director for Lucent's Edge Access business unit. Joining Infonetics Research in December, Diane Myers brings 14 years of telecom industry analyst and marketing experience, including over 3 years as Strategic Marketing Director for VoIP application software vendor BroadSoft. Myers is a meticulous researcher with expertise in identifying new markets, product positioning, messaging, strategic planning, competitive analysis, and service provider go-to-market strategy. Prior to BroadSoft, Myers was a program manager with Stratecast Partners, where she provided strategic analysis and quantitative assessments of communications services to incumbent service providers and competitive operators. Myers was also a senior manager at FORE Systems (Marconi Communications), where she helped build the Market Intelligence Group, and a senior analyst at In-Stat, NCR, and Eastman Kodak. Myers now leads Infonetics' Service Provider VoIP and IMS coverage, specializing in VoIP and IMS equipment, hosted VoIP services, residential VoIP, and circuit-to-packet migration products and adoption trends of service providers and end-users. Her focus is to deepen Infonetics' VoIP and IMS equipment and services coverage, and to expand into new areas such as hosted unified communications (UC), SIP trunking, and Rich Communications Suite (RCS).
