Industry Analyst Jeff Kagan on AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile Wireless Rankings in RootMetrics Report

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 22, 2014 RootMetrics published their report comparing quality, reliability and speed of wireless carriers in the United States, according to their press release, Sept 9.

Industry analyst Jeff Kagan offers comment.

"The first thing that really stands out is that there are no longer large gaps in quality and reliability between AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile. Using Atlanta as one example, all four carriers rankings were between 96 and 98 out of 100. That means every customer of any carrier should experience terrific quality and reliability in many markets. That's a remarkable change over several years ago," says Wireless Analyst Jeff Kagan.

"Over the last several years AT&T and Verizon were the best quality, most reliable and fast wireless data networks. However while AT&T and Verizon are still at the top of the list, both Sprint and T-Mobile are getting stronger each year and rising to the challenge," says Technology analyst Kagan.

RootScore says Sprint and T-Mobile are closing the gap. They say overall performance says a good RootScore means strong overall coverage and good consumer experience.

"Sprint seems to be rising rapidly with regards to reliability in many markets. They have risen from worst to first in this category in a number of cities. This is a good start for their recovery," says Tech analyst Kagan.

"Calls and texts are high quality for all four carriers. Each market is different across the United States and there are quality differences in certain markets. However generally speaking it looks like all four carriers are improving in all catagories over time. That means the real winner is the customer," says Kagan.
