HP and Fortify form security allianceJun 12, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- HP and software security assurance company Fortify Software have formed a partnership they said will enable clients to reduce business risk by identifying, prioritizing, and fixing vulnerabilities across the application lifecycle. The companies will combine Fortify 360's Static Application Security Testing, SAST, technology with HP's Application Security Center and Quality Center software. They will integrate Fortify 360 SAST results into HP Assessment Management Platform, AMP, to give clients a real-time dashboard view of application security scanning. Fortify 360 source code security results will also be combined with HP Quality Center's defect management system. John M Jack, chief executive of Fortify Software, said: "The combination of these technologies brings together development's security efforts with software quality and dynamic application security testing. Not only will customers benefit from increased visibility into the security of their software throughout its lifecycle, but they will be even better equipped to assess and manage the overall risk to their business while cutting the costs it takes to perform these tasks." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
