Howard Stern Show to hit the Internet

(UPI Entertainment News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)Shock jock Howard Stern's New York-based morning show on the Sirius Satellite Radio network is about to hit the Internet.

This will be another catalyst for Sirius to get new subscribers who will find listening online in their office, home or dorm to be an additional incentive to subscribe, Sirius Chief Executive Officer Mel Karmazin said in making the announcement Tuesday, USA today reported.

Sirius already offers 68 of its channels to subscribers via the Internet and in June the provider will add two channels programmed by Stern as well as his live morning show.

The goal is to make Howard available on as many platforms as possible, Hoefer & Arnett analyst April Horace told USA Today. Content providers today are focused on making it available on all media.
