Help Tim Hortons Make Smiles for Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation

Metro Detroit-area Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop restaurant owners are bringing back the smiles with the restaurant chain's ninth annual Smile Cookie fundraiser from August 5 -18.

While supplies last, Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop guests can purchase a special Chocolate Chunk cookie with a smiley face drawn on in pink and blue frosting for only $1, plus tax. Proceeds benefit Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation (CHMF), which works in closely with Children's Hospital of Michigan to fund pediatric research, education, community benefit programs, and other initiatives to improve the health of Michigan's children.

"Every year our guests look forward t our Smile Cookie event and really come out to show their support," said Ravinder Saini, a Detroit-area Tim Hortons restaurant owner. "The number of cookies we sell is impressive and a true sign of how compassionate the people of this community are."

Since 2006, Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop restaurant owners and guests have raised funds for CHMF to help support significant programs like Children's Hospital's Healing Garden and neonatal ICU.

"Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation has built an incredible partnership with Tim Hortons over the years through the Smile Cookie Campaign. Everyone in the Foundation looks forward to the smile cookies, because they're a tasty treat and make a smile go a long way," says Tony Werner, Foundation President & CEO.

Guests who purchase a Smile Cookie are invited to share their experience by posting a picture on Instagram and Twitter (News - Alert) at #TimsSmileCookie.
