HealthFitness Granted Full URAC Call Center AccreditationHealthFitness is pleased to announce that, following an in-depth review process, its 24/7 Nurse Line was granted Full Accreditation status for compliance with URAC's Health Call Center (HCC) Accreditation Program. URAC, an independent, nonprofit organization, is known as a leader in promoting health care quality through a wide range of accreditation and certification programs. URAC Health Call Center standards apply to organizations providing triage and health information services to the public when conducted by telephone, via Website or other electronic means. The standards assure that registered nurses, physicians or other validly licensed individuals perform the clinical aspects of triage and other health information services in a manner that is timely, confidential and includes medically appropriate care and treatment advice. "Earning full URAC call center accreditation is quite an undertaking," explains Kelly Merriman, HealthFitness vice president, service delivery. "It requires leveraging the expertise, commitment and collaboration across the company to acieve and maintain compliance with more than 60 standards. So many HealthFitness departments and associates contributed to this effort and we extend our appreciation to the registered nurses, care specialists and health advocates who provide support to our program participants 24/7." After earning initial call center accreditation for its 24/7 Nurse Line from URAC in July 2013, HealthFitness renewed its accreditation with a score of 99.77%. The accreditation will be valid for a period of three years, effective Wednesday, April 1, 2015 through Sunday, April 1, 2018.
