Health at your finger tips [Gulf News (United Arab Emirates)](Gulf News (United Arab Emirates) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Dubai: Dubai residents can now have all their medical records at the click of a button on their smartphones with the launch of the Sehhaty App by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). The patient-centric app is one of the main attractions to be launched at Gitex 2014. Elaborating on the working of the app, Amani Al Jasmi, Director of Information Technology at DHA, told Gulf News: "This app was created by our in-house IT team based on the patient feedback we had. Our aim was to enhance our patients' experience at DHA. Therefore this app is tailor-made to attend to every need of the patient. At any DHA facility patients have a single ID which is a health card number. This app allows for all patient data to be consolidated in one place. This includes all the medical conditions a patient may have, his upcoming and past appointments, laboratory reports, his entire file. So, in case a patient needs a second opinion, he does not need to carry a bulky file to the doctor. All he will need to do is log into the app and get all the information required." This app will be available to all DHA patients for free on multiple platforms including iOS, Android, Windows and BlackBerry and patients can log into the app using their health card, user-ID/password or through MyId. To simplify procedures the app will also facilitate the linking of accounts of entire families as a single log-in system provides access to files of all family members. Users can simply swap patient profiles within the same family without having to log in and log out for every new user.
