[November 18, 2008] GTEL-Mobile selects Aircom for network rollout plans Tweet Nov 18, 2008 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- GTEL-Mobile, a GSM operator in Vietnam, which is backed by Russia's VimpelCom, has signed a deal with the UK-based independent network planning and optimization consultancy Aircom International, to meet its rollout plans. GTEL-Mobile is scheduled to launch its commercial GSM services at 1800MHz in the first half of 2009. GTEL-Mobile has awarded the contract to AIRCOM for the phase-one of GSM network rollout, including technical support for site acquisition activities, radio network planning and modeling, and associated training services. Alexey Blyumin, CEO at GTEL-Mobile, said: "As the newest operator in this highly competitive market, we need to focus all our efforts on a rapid and efficient rollout to ensure we build strong customer relationships from the first day of commercial service.
