Grandstream Partners with StarLeaf to Support UC OpenCloud

StarLeaf, the leading cloud video conferencing and calling provider, and Grandstream Networks, connecting the world since 2002 with award-winning SIP unified communications solutions, today announced a joint partnership. Under this partnership, Grandstream's GVC3200 and GVC3202 Video Conferencing endpoints are compliant with and supported by StarLeaf's new UC OpenCloud communications platform. UC OpenCloud is a brand-neutral version of StarLeaf's advanced communications platform that is exclusively available to third-party solution providers and video endpoint manufacturers. Compatibility allows Grandstream to extend their GVC series of video conferencing endpoints to customers with StarLeaf's UC OpenCloud platform to offer a complete Video Conferencing as a Service (VCaaS) solution.

To learn more about the partnership and to see the solution in-action, visit Grandstream and StarLeaf at InfoComm 2016, June 8-10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Grandstream will be in the StarLeaf booth, N1239, with a working demonstration of the GVC series running UC OpenCloud.

The GVC3200 series are Grandstream's revolutionary HD video conferencing devices that are changing the way businesses experience conferencing. These award-winning endpoints offer a powerful platform with state-of-the-art video features and an intuitive user interface at an unprecedented price point. The GVC series is made up of the GVC3200, which has a built-in 9-way MCU and supports up to 3 HD monitors with a 12x optical zoom, and the GVC3202 which has a 3-way built-in MCU and supports up to 2 HD monitors with a 9x optical zoom. These Android-based devices tout an intuitive and familiar Android user interface packed with powerful features including full 1080p HD video support, built-in computer screen sharing, integrated Bluetooth, Gigabitports, HD audio support, and more. "It is important for us to continue to offer our customers a complete video conferencing solution to allow them to easily deploy and use video conferencing in an affordable and flexible environment," said David Li (News - Alert), CEO of Grandstream. "We are excited to partner with StarLeaf, a world-class video conferencing service provider, to offer their UC OpenCloud platform to customers using our easy-to-use, state-of-the-art GVC3200 series. This is a win-win situation for both Grandstream and StarLeaf and will surely expand both company's market footprint."

"We have the most advanced communications cloud available today, and it has unlimited capacity to serve the very largest, right down to the smallest of businesses," said Mark Loney, CEO StarLeaf. "It's been a long held vision of ours to create a cloud partner ecosystem and we are excited to partner with Grandstream on this initiative."

UC OpenCloud is an advanced platform that offers a rich communications environment and allows users to make and receive point-to-point video calls, as well as schedule and join video conferences. It is unique in its ability to deliver universal connectivity, allowing users of any video equipment to directly call any one else on any other video system. In this way a video system registered to the UC OpenCloud can call any user of Microsoft (News - Alert) Skype for Business, Polycom, Lifesize, Cisco, Avaya etc. This far reaching interoperability is fundamental to the longevity of an existing video installation, which may currently only be served by an aging infrastructure and restricted in its calling capabilities. In addition to this freedom, the UC OpenCloud offers a secure, fully redundant and reliable environment that can easily replace costly and complex infrastructure.
