Google-Yahoo Deal Can Clear Antitrust Wall: Page - Down 1%(Midnight Trader Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Boston, May 22, 2008 (MidnightTrader via COMTEX News Network) -- Google (GOOG) co-founder Larry Page said the company opposed a Microsoft (MSFT)-Yahoo (YHOO) deal because it would monopolize the online communications market, stifle innovation and curb competition. However, he discounted the idea that an advertising deal between Google (GOOG) and Yahoo (YHOO), one the two companies are now exploring, would present any potential antitrust problems. Yahoo fell 0.04% in late afternoon trade, while Microsoft rose 0.96%. Price: 546.97, Change: -3.02, Percent Change: -0.55 Copyright (C) 2008 MidnightTrader.com. All rights reserved.
