Goldenvoice Addresses Security Incident And Notifies Customers

LOS ANGELES, March 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Goldenvoice has addressed an unauthorized and illegal third-party intrusion into the database containing information collected in connection with the Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals.  The company is providing notice to individuals that may have been affected by the incident, which previously was reported in the media, and offering one year of complimentary identity protection services to certain impacted individuals.

From September 2016 to February 2017, an unauthorized third-party gained access to certain information collected in connection with the 2016 Coachella Music and Arts Festival and 2016 Stagecoach: California's Country Music Festival, and through the Coachella.com website. Upon learning of the intrusion, the company immediately opened an investigation, notified law enforcement and engaged a leading forensic IT firm to remediate the security incident.

Based on the ivestigation, Goldenvoice has determined that the intruder may have accessed the personal information of some customers, including some combination of their first and last names; Coachella.com usernames; email addresses; birth dates; phone numbers (if provided); mailing addresses; and driver's license numbers, passport numbers, or other ID that may have been used to claim wristbands in person at one of the festivals.

It is important to note that, based on the current review, there is no indication that customer payment or financial information, or passwords were accessed.

Out of an abundance of caution, Goldenvoice is offering one year of free identity theft protection services to potentially affected customers who had a driver's license or other form of ID in the database.

Goldenvoice and The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival remain committed to maintaining the privacy and security of their customers' personal information.

More information for potentially affected customers, including information regarding how impacted individuals may sign up for identity theft protection services, is available on www.goldenvoice.com
