Global WiMAX Summit to Be Opened in Beijing

BEIJING, Sep 04, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- The Global WiMAX Summit will be held in Beijing from October 22, 2009 to October 23, 2009.

The WiMAX network saw a rapid growth in 2008, and 141 countries and territories had established 487 WiMAX networks by the end of August 2009, with an 80% surge year on year. Moreover, more than 25 chip manufactures and over 35 base station giants have formed a large WiMAX industrial chain in the global market.



As the only Global WiMAX Summit in China, it lures a lot of representatives from the fields like the Chinese government, WiMAX operators, and research agents. In detail, it has invited the officials from the nation's information administration, the president and vice president of the Global WiMAX Forum, the top executives from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), some related experts, and so on.

They will talk about the WiMAX operating cases and experiences together at the summit, and discuss the further development direction of the WiMAX.
