Glide's Live Video Messaging App Gets Major Design Overhaul on Android

Glide, the Israeli startup whose popular live video messenger has attracted more than 15 million users, today released significant updates to its Android (News - Alert) app.

The most noticeable improvement to Glide for Android is a complete visual overhaul consistent with Lollipop's Material Design. Glide now features a sleek, tabbed user interface for users of all Android devices, including tablets. New features now available in Glide for Android include:

  • Offline Video Recording - Record video messages without an Internet connection; Messages will be sent automatically when you reconnect.
  • Full Screen Preview - Swipe up on the content creation bar in a chat thread to see how you look before recording.
  • Super Emojis - Emojis now get supersized when sent one at a time!

"The new, fresh design of Glide for Android, when combined with tablet support and the other features we've added, makes the app even more delightful and convenient to use," said Adam Korbl, Chief Product & Marketing Officer of Glide.

Glide is available for free for Android smartphones or tablets in the Google (News - Alert) Play Store.
