Germany : DEUTSCHE Telekom associates with FireEye [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) T-Systems the business customer arm of Deutsche Telekom have announced a partnership with IT security company FireEye. The new partnership will focus in protecting against complex cyber attacks that are not discovered quick enough by traditional recognition systems and is a further step in Telekom CEO Timotheus Hottges' innovation strategy. FireEye and T-Systems will offer a comprehensively managed service for corporate customers in Europe so as to protect companies against IT espionage and cyber attacks. The products from FireEye supplement traditional defense systems for example firewalls and anti-virus programmes that are unable to detect and ward off targeted attacks. FireEye products within this partnership will add the 'Advanced Cyber Defense by Telekom' (ACD) security portfolio that has been developed by T-Systems and is tailored to the security requirements of major international corporations. As a 'Managed Service,' T-Systems in addition offer s the integration and operation of products at the customer and the monitoring and evaluation of events. The platform comes into its own in the event of 'under the radar' cyber attacks, for instance with fake file attachments in e-mails or with malware left on websites (drive-by downloads). Alongside cloud computing, cyber security is one of the growth areas of Deutsche Telekom.
