GENBAND Demonstrates Dedication to Local Communities with 3rd Annual Global Day of ServiceFRISCO, Texas --(Business Wire)-- GENBAND, a leading developer of multimedia and cloud communications solutions, today announced the kickoff of its third annual Global Day of Service with volunteer activities scheduled in more than 30 countries on June 1st. In Dallas, GENBAND has partnered with Brandon Carr, cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys and founder of Carr Cares Foundation, to promote educational enrichment and physical fitness programs for youth during the Frisco kickoff event. During the Global Day of Service, GENBAND employees around the world will dedicate time to various activities that benefit their communities. Employees based at the Maidenhead, United Kingdom, campus outside of London will be working with Windsor Mencap, the leading voice of children with learning disabilities in the region. GENBAND employees will be 'sprucing up' their clubhouse, including painting, pulling down an old shed, and trimming the gardens and hedges. Last year, Maidenhead employees built a community garden for Bright Start, a local preschool that depends on donations rom parents to help make improvements. Following recent tornado damage in the region, GENBAND employees out of Frisco and Plano are also holding a raffle during their May 29th kickoff event to benefit Habitat for Humanity (Hood County).
