Fujitsu and Cisco develop video feed system

Apr 22, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Fujitsu and Cisco have set up a partnership to develop a video contribution system for use over IP or satellite infrastructures.

The system will enable service providers to maintain high levels of video quality at lower bandwidths, and provide low-latency performance for IP video transmission.

Victor Herring, vice president of advanced technology group at Fujitsu Computer Products of America, said: "Our partnership with Cisco provides customers with a network solution that offers the highest-quality MPEG-4 AVC picture and reduces the overall costs of broadcasting in HD by enabling video feeds to be transmitted over lower-cost terrestrial networks." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
