FUJIFILM Dternity Delivers Secure and Reliable Archiving Using NetApp and Most Popular File Systems

VALHALLA, N.Y. --(Business Wire)--

FUJIFILM Recording Media U.S.A., Inc., a subsidiary of FUJIFILM Corporation, and the leading global manufacturer of data storage media, today announced that its deep storage and archiving solution - Dternity - is now compatible with NetApp, Windows, Linux, Novell (News - Alert) and most file systems. Dternity gives IT and data administrators the flexibility they need to move and store data, and now works seamlessly with NetApp software.

Using the StrongBox® DataManager, customers can archive files located on physical NetApp Filers or through virtual NetApp vFilers. Once archived, files are visible on the NetApp Filer with a corresponding reference to the file on the Dternity NAS appliance. When a user accesses a file, the DataMover agent transparently retrieves the file from the Dternity NAS.
