Four defendants enter guilty pleas
Feb 04, 2009 (The Register-Herald - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Four defendants entered pleas Tuesday before Raleigh County Circuit Judge John Hutchison.
Muhammad Ibra-him, 58, of Beckley, faces two to 20 years in prison for his guilty pleas to distribution of a controlled substance, cocaine, and felony conspiracy.
Assistant prosecutor Larry Frail said Ibrahim's distribution plea was a result of a December 2007 incident during which he sold cocaine to a confidential informant.
The conspiracy conviction stemmed from an incident during which Ibrahim provided cocaine to a suspect involved in a transaction with a confidential informant.
Matthew Hundley, 30, of Crab Orchard, pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery and wanton endangerment.
According to Frail, Hundley, robbed a Robert C. Byrd Drive video gambling location at gunpoint on April 12.
Hundley faces five to 18 years for the robbery conviction and one to five for wanton endangerment.
Alisa Bolt, 46, of Mabscott, entered guilty pleas to delivery of a schedule II narcotic and forgery.
Bolt, Frail said, sold $150 in morphine to a Beckley police confidential informant on Sept. 19, 2007.
Also, he said, she forged a check for $300.
Bolt faces one to 15 years for the drug conviction and one to 10 years for forgery.
Christopher Tyrone Mitchell, 36, of Beckley, faces one to three years for attempted transfer of marijuana and 90 days to six months for possession of cocaine.
All four will be sentenced March 30.
